Neve Adrianne Campbell was born on 3rd of October 1973 at Guelph, Ontario, Canada to the couple of Gerry Campbell (high school drama teacher) and Marnie Campbell.
She got her education from National Ballet School of Canada. At the tender age of six Campbell began to take ballet lessons. When she was nine she got into the prestigious National Ballet of Canada, where she went on to spent five years studying several forms of dance and performing them in `Sleeping Beauty` and `The Nutcracker`. She could not manage the strictness required in the fields of art when she was 14 years old. Therefore she had to leave everything. But a few months later Campbell started dancing again as the youngest member of the Toronto cast of `The Phantom` in the Opera.
After two years of all this hard work (almost 800 performances) in the year 1988/ 89 she tried modelling and commercials. She then appeared in Canadian and American television like `Kids in the Hall` in 1989, `Kung Fu: The Legend Continues` in 1992, `Catwalk`, `Web of Deceit` in 1993, `The Forget Me Not Murders`, `Are You Afraid of the Dark?`, `I Know My Son Is Alive`, `The Dark`, `Baree` and `Paint Cans` in 1994. Immediately after all this she moved to Los Angeles and got involved in the award-winning television series `Party of Five` (from 1994 to 2000) as `Julie Salinger`. She was very passionate about her work and as a result spend almost her every weekends by appearing in talk and comedy show. She used her spare time in movie-making.She appeared in `Northern Passage`, `Mad TV`, `Love Child` in 1995, `The Canterville Ghost` in 1996 and the hugely popular `Scream`, `Scream 2` and `Scream 3`.
She captured a `Family Film Award` for her appearance in `The Canterville Ghost` in 1996 and later got a `Saturn Award`, `MTV and Blockbuster nominations and awards` and a `Saturday Night Live hosting gig` for the Scream trilogy in 1997.
Campbell was also awarded another series of `MTV and Blockbuster awards` that includes `Best Female Performance` for her performance in `The Craft` in 1996. Campbell also appeared in `54`, `Lion King II: Simba’s Pride` (only voice), `Wild Things` in 1998, `Three to Tango` in 1999, `Panic` and `Drowning Mona` in 2000. Then came `Hair Shirt/Red Shoes` and `Investigating Sex`.
In the year 1995 Time magazine named her `TV’s Most Believable Teenager`.
She also has great interests in yogas and meditations, and also dances in her basement studio.
As far her private life goes in the year 1995 she married actor `Jeffrey Colt` and later divorced in 1998 and has been rumoured to have links with several leading men. Campbell is amongst one of the handfuls who refuses nude roles.
