Famke Janssen

Famke Janssen was born on 1st January 1964 at Amsterdam, Netherlands. The meaning of her name is `little girl` in Frisian. She is a naturally talented beautiful woman. As a young woman she got into the University of Holland, where she studied Economics and also earned money by modeling. The demand for her as a model was increasing as time passed by, and so she decided to move to New York to get proper oppurtunity. She signed a contract with the Elite Modeling Agency in New York .Despite of all this incidents, she continued with her studies at Columbia University. She was specialized in Literature and Creative Writing. At the time of studying at Columbia, she tried to act by taking courses under Harold Guskin.

After having worked as a model for several years she moved to sunshiny Los Angeles to try her luck in acting. There she continued with her acting lessons, and made her big screen debut in the poorly accepte Jeff Goldblum`s `Fathers and Sons`. Then she was offered a guest appearance on the sci-fi series, `Star Trek: The Next Generation`, which was at its prime at that time. Captained by Patrick Stewart Famke played the role who tantalizes the crew of the Enterprise. A decade later, she tantalized him again in `X-Men` where she was gifted with powers like telekinesis and telepathy. After that ball finally started to roll for Famke when she appeared as the first Bond Girl of the newly rejuvenated Bond in the movie `Goldeneye`. In that film she played the character of the villainous killer `Xenia Onatopp` who demolishes her victims to death with her thighs.

It was this film that captured everyones attention. She was at a pivotal moment in her career. She could have continued in the same way and cashed her sexuality and dark appeal but she avoided the Pamela Anderson route. She began to accept roles in a variety of small budget and independent productions, such as `Woody Allen`s Celebrity`, `Rounders` which starred Matt Damon and `The Adventures of Sebastian Cole`. With roles in films like `The Faculty`, `House on Haunted Hill`, `X-Men`, `Made and most recently `Don't Say a Word` this talented beautiful lady is sure to maintain her mainstream achievment and focus.
