Cameron M. Diaz was born on August 30, 1972 at San Diego, California, USA. She got her education from the 'Long Beach Polytechnic High School' in Long Beach, California.
When Cameron was 16 years old she met a photographer at a party. This incident totally changed her life. Some weeks later she got out of her San Diego school to accept a wonderful international career with the 'Elite Modeling Agency'.
At the age of 22 Cameron decided to enter Hollywood. As she expressed her desire she won a small part in the big-budget flick 'The Mask' in the year of 1994. Her performance was enough to take notice. Then she was offered 'Mortal Combat' but could not fulfill due to injury. Then she went on to attend a few acting lessons and later appeared in 'The Last Supper', 'Feeling Minnesota' and 'She’s The One' in the year of 1996.
Her performance was speaking for her and roles poured in for Cameron. She became darling of the masses suddenly. Cameron opted for interesting roles in 'My Best Friend’s Wedding' for which she achieved a 'Blockbuster Entertainment Favorite Supporting Actress award in 1997, 'A Life Less Ordinary', 'Head Above Water', 'Keys to Tulsa' in 1997, 'There’s Something About Mary', 'Very Bad Things', 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' in 1998, 'Any Given Sunday' in 1999 and 'Being John Malkovich' for which she got a 'Golden Globe nomination' and 'Screen Actors’ Guild award nomination' in 1999.
Then she gave her voice in 'Shrek' and appeared in 'Invisible Circus', 'Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her' and 'Charlie’s Angels'. 'Charlie’s Angels' became a blockbuster hit.
She is known to choose her films carefully alternating films with artistic independents with public-pleasing mainstream movies. She has found her place in Hollywood and everyone can be assured that she will face no problems in maintaining it.
