Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff was born on 28th of September 1987 at Houston, Texas, USA. At the age of only six years old she began her professional career as a dancer.

She was involved with the Columbus Ballet Met touring company. After a short while she made her appearance in a television commercial. She was so attracted in acting that she quickly appeared in several television and films. One of her important achievement was her appearance in the title role for the Disney Channel`s popular series `Lizzie McGuire`. She then appeared as the leading lady in that year`s one of the biggest hits `Cadet Kelly`. This movie was ranked as the highest rated in Disney Channel and in both broadcast and cable television.

She was not totally satisfied with her acting career only. So in the year 2002 she made her debut as a singer with the single `I Can`t Wait`. It got instant recognition and became the number one on Radio Disney. She followed it with the release of her own album by Walt Disney Records having the theme of Christmas. Hilary has sung with R&B/pop recording artist Christina Milian and Lil` Romeo in her album.

Hilary has also starred for the Walt Disney Pictures movie which was based on `Lizzie McGuire` and also in `Agent Cody Banks` in 2003. Then she became the nominee for the Favorite Television Actress in Nickelodeon`s 15th Annual Kids` Choice Awards. She also achieved an award for `Lizzie McGuire` which became the Favorite Television Series in that event.

Then she was cast in television mini series `True Women` with Dana Delaney and Rachel Leigh Cook, in `Soul Collector` and a guest appearance in `Chicago Hope`. For her wonderful performance in `Soul Collector` she captured a `Young Artist Award` for Best Supporting Actress. She also made her appearance in theatre with `Playing by Heart` opposite Sean Connery, Dennis Quaid and Gena Rowlands. Then she got roles in `Casper Meets Wendy` and in `Human Nature` with Tim Robbins.

Other than acting and singing she loves sports like swimming, tumbling and rollerblading. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends. She is associated with the 2001 Youth Advisory Committee of Kids with a cause which helps needy children.
