Claire Danes

Claire Catherine Danes was born on 12th of April 1979 at New York, USA.Her father was a computer consultant and her mother was a painter and teacher. So they both loved arts and therefore encouraged Claire in every possible way. When she was six years old she began to take lessons on modern dance. She got into the Lee Strasberg Studio to take acting class at the age of only nine. Then she was admitted to the the Professional Performing Arts School in New York to further her acting skills.

She then went on to do some stage appearances in `Happiness`, `Punk Ballet` and `Kids on Stage`. In `Kids on Stage` she choreographed a solo dance item. She made her debut in films with `Dreams of Love` at the age of only 11 years. She then went on to feature in films like `Thirty`, `The Pesky Suitor` with Sully Boyar, Columbia Pictures` `Little Women` and `Romeo and Juliet`. She also appeared in several television series such as `Law and Order` where she protrayed a young model who killed her agent, `No Room For Opal` and `The Coming Out of Heidi Leiter`.

When she gets time from her acting she like to study her school lessons mainly the humanities and science. Her other passions include dancing, gymnastics and surfing.
