Lisa Kudrow was born on 30th July 1963 at Encino, California to the couple of Lee Kudrow (a physician; headache specialist) and Nedra Kudrow (a travel agent).
She completed her education from the William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA (graduated in 1981), Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, New York (majored in Biology; graduated in the year 1985; B.S.) and also Studied acting with Cynthia Szigeti.
Lisa planned to become a medical researcher after she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology. But she was rather inspired her family friend, comedian Jon Lovitz, to try her luck in acting. So Kudrow joined a Los Angeles comedy troupe. She managed her role well in a local production of The Ladies’ Room. By the end of the year 1989, this 5` 9` talented lady seriously turned to television comedy. Lisa played Woody’s girlfriend on `Cheers` and later on went to appear in `Coach`, `Newhart`, `Life Goes On`, `Just Temporary`, `Close Encounters`, `To The Moon Alice` and the TV movie `Murder In High Places` in the year 1991. Later that year she was also approached for roles in films. She continued with `LA on $5 A Day` in 1989, `In The Heat of Passion`, 1 and 2, `The Unborn` and `Dance With Death` in the year 1991. The rest of the cast was honored with an ensemble award. Lisa got two `Emmy nominations`,one `Emmy` win, two `Screen Actors’ Guild` awards and an `American Comedy` award. Roles began to flow for Lisa with all being different and interesting. She has achieved a lot of fame at this point of life but she believes her turning point was when she appeared as `Phoebe Buffay` in wildly popular `Friends` character.
