Christina Applegate

Christina Applegate was born on November 25, 1971 at Los Angeles, California. She was born to the couple of Robert Applegate (a record-company executive) and Nancy Priddy (soap star actress). After sometime her parents got seperated and her father married again. Then her sister Alisa and brother Kyle was born.

Christina was totally obsessed in acting in movies. For this she had to quit school at the age of 17 in order to pursue it full-time. But she made her first onscreen debut only as a child at the age of 5, alongside her mother on Days of Our Lives. This happened only due to her mother who brought her with her in work and auditions. Christina appeared in more than a dozen roles by the time she was 17. She then went on to act in series such as Father Murphy, Mama's Family, Quincy, Charles in Charge, Still the Beaver, Silver Spoons, Heart of the City, and Family Ties, Beatlemania, and the made-for-TV film The Grace Kelly Story. She also appeared in the 1981 B-movie JAWS OF SATAN with her mother, actress Nancy Priddy. Christina once said in an interview that she has been an actress since she was born. After so many appearances everyone could found out the talent in Christina.

In the year 1987 Christina was approached for the interesting and promising role Kelly Bundy, in the family drama, Married... With Children which went on for ten years. This was the role that put her on the worldmap. This green-eyed actress have fooled millions of viewers as Bundy but in real life she is not at all like that. While persuing `Married... With Children` Christina appeared in a few television shows that includes 21 Jump Street, Top of the Heap, host of Mad TV, and Pauly. She also appeared in several TV movies such as Dance `Til Dawn, Streets and Across the Moon. But it was the year 1991 that eventually saw her make a big-screen debut in Don`t Tell Mom the Babysitter`s Dead which is a fine comedy.

She also appeared in movies such as Wild Bill and Vibrations. In 1996, Christina went on to appear in `Mars Attacks` thus sharing the screen with the biggest of Hollywood names such as Jack Nicholson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenn Close and Pierce Brosnan. After Married... With Children ended in 1997, Christina appeared in the comedy Mafia. She returned to television where she got the title character of the NBC comedy, Jesse, which debuted in the year 1998. The critically applauded Jesse lasted for 2 years on air despite of Christina achieving the People`s Choice Award for Favorite Female Performer in a New TV series, and the TV Guide Award for Star of a New Series, both in the year 1999.

With a starring role in the comedy `Just Visiting`, and a role in the movie `A View From the Top`, which starred Gwnyeth Paltrow, Kelly Preston, Mike Myers, and Rob Lowe Christina proved that she is made only for the silverscreen. She also co-starred with Cameron Diaz in the film `The Sweetest Thing`.

As far her personal life goes Christina dated Christian Slater and presently dating actor Johnathon Schaech`s since 1998.

She also cares greatly for her cats (Natasha and Kanaloa) and her dog (Sybil).
